TRANSPARENCY V.
“The End of a World”
Running and running, until the night catches me still
My bones snap at fear
Underestimating temptation
Why must my soul remain hidden from the eyes of your love, words felt so sincere
Oh please…hold me dear
Hold me until my name sounds blissful in your ear
Patched by the stitching of memories
You, ever so sweet, like morning dew, with northern winds and maple leaves
I know you like to play
Impractical characters you happen to make believe
Then what about me?
Am I distant, in regards to the giving tree
I’m practicing your literature
The letters you left at home for me
You come across the bedside, in which I made
Watered down, so you won’t ever have to breathe
Just listen to me….
Sidewalks by the edge of the world
Engraved so we may walk still
Where we go, they’ll never believe
