“Lectures About The Rain”
Don’t speak to me in perfect font
Look on to the damaged goods, the sanctuary that I reside in for so long
The prejudice in tainted letters, while pride conceives the words
We have yet to experience such ambience
Silent but yet loud within the mind
Close your eyes and feel what lingers between the lines
The keen sense for a melodic story, being introduced to a reluctant nursery rhyme
Contouring as they may call it
Adapting to a balance that showed empathy amongst the masses
Hiding away the scars and flaws that mirrored vulnerability in such a poignant fashion
Why must we let such ignorance flourish, and dance?
If boundaries can be broken, why not give the dangers of the world a chance?
The faulty washes away behind the pillars that descend onto the glow of humanity
Like stones concealed in the decorum of the naked eye
I’ll savor these moments forever
Arms open to the storm
Unwinding within a forgotten fantasy
